Auricht Projects was contracted by the South East Natural Resources Management Board and Natural Resources South East to develop a framework to identify, illustrate and via a participatory approach document Aboriginal values for different wetland types and watercourses in a format suitable for input into the South East Drainage and Wetland Strategy and other natural resource management planning initiatives.

Involved development of a culturally sensitive approach to explore, identify and document values including cultural issues related to water planning and management. Outputs included a literature review, engagement process, workshop reports and supporting information on cultural values for inclusion in the broader South East NRM Community Panel Consultation program. Outputs from the project also provided valuable information products for the aboriginal community to assist in capacity building and educational activities.
